Access Communications Co-operative (Access) is proud to announce the official rebrand of 91.3 FM CJTR, Regina's Community Radio Station to AccessNow Community Radio. This rebrand marks a significant milestone in community radio, reflecting a renewed commitment to amplifying local voices across both radio and TV platforms.

"As an organization, we're excited for the future of AccessNow Community Radio," said Carmela Haines, President and CEO of Access. "We have an unprecedented opportunity to amplify local expression across two mediums (radio and TV) unlike ever before."

AccessNow Community Radio will continue to champion local voices and diverse programming. It currently has about 10,000 daily listeners. The station is supported by 75 volunteer hosts who produce, 64 shows, and 5000 hours of content annually. Listeners can enjoy an array of shows in six languages, including Tagalog, Farsi, and Spanish, along with specialty programs spanning genres like K-pop, Jazz, Blues, and more, with an emphasis on local and regional artists and artists working outside the broadcast mainstream. The station remains a vibrant part of Regina's cultural scene.

The rebrand to AccessNow Radio aligns seamlessly with the established brand of Access Communications and AccessNow TV, a trusted fixture in the province for over 45 years. This evolution reflects Access's ongoing dedication to connecting communities and empowering local expression. Through partnerships with local artists and music communities, AccessNow Community Radio continues to provide a platform for underrepresented genres and voices in Saskatchewan.

"Listeners will continue to enjoy the programming they have come to know and love," said Tracey Mucha, Senior Manager of Community Engagement at Access. "We're also excited to offer businesses new and innovative advertising opportunities, responding to the growing demand for local content and more dynamic advertising solutions as we evolve our media presence."

In early 2024, CJTR 91.3 sought a new operating model to remain sustainable and approached Access Communications. The CRTC approved the transfer of ownership last December. Following the acquisition Access has retained the two full-time staff members and has hired a Sales Executive. Management is committed to implementing a self-sustaining financial model for the station, through advertising revenue and sponsorship. Tune in to AccessNow Community Radio and discover how we're elevating local voices. Visit www.accessnowradio.ca for more information.
