Gas tax relief, freezing small business tax

Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck kicked off her election campaign with a guarantee she will not raise taxes if her party forms government. The Guarantee applies to all forms of provincial taxation. That means no increases to income taxes, small business taxes, provincial sales tax, and corporate taxes.

By contrast, Scott Moe has already announced that he will double the small business tax on July 1, 2025.

The Sask. Party has already hiked the provincial sales tax from 5% to 6% and expanded it to essentials like groceries and children's clothes in the largest tax increase in Saskatchewan's history.

Beck said that her NDP government would pay for its spending commitments by growing the economy, finding efficiencies, and cutting Sask. Party waste and mismanagement. Beck singled out Scott Moe's million-dollar trip to Dubai as textbook wasteful spending.
