"The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom then shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom then will I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1) NIV Psalm 56:4 tells us, " When I am afraid I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust, I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?" NIV
Ah yes! What can mortal man do to me? Nothing! We all are mortal. Our immortal bodies wait for us till we finish with these mortal ones. We have to decide for ourselves, though, each one of us, what will happen to our real persons, our souls. When Jesus was carrying His heavy cross through the city streets to Mount Calvary, He wasn't thinking of His mortal body. He was thinking of our eternal bodies. He was making the ultimate sacrifice for us, so we may have eternal life for our immortal souls. Give joy and thanksgiving for a loving, patient heavenly Father who gave His only Son that we may have eternal life. Our choice, though! That's how we were created: accept our free gift of eternal life or reject it to our eternal peril. I love and pray for you. You pray for me and one another! Rejoice! Our Lord is Risen! God bless and keep you always!
