MLA Message - Last Mountain Touchwood
Dear Constituents, What a whirlwind of a year it has been. The summer flew by; the election occurred on October 28, 2024, and before you knew it, the fall sitting of the First Session of the Thirtieth Legislature had come and gone, and now Christmas is days away.
This year brought new beginnings — a new government and a new cabinet. On November 7, 2024, Premier Scott Moe gave me the great honour of serving in cabinet as the Minister of Environment. I take this responsibility seriously and look forward to the next four years of serving you, the constituents, to the best of my ability.
I want to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to you, the constituents of Last Mountain - Touchwood, for your unwavering support throughout the election. Whether you supported me or another candidate, your participation in the democratic process is invaluable, and I thank you for it.
Throughout the year, we’ve shared in many significant events and celebrations. From celebrating the 150th anniversary of Treaty 4, the Village of Lipton’s announcement for its Lagoons Expansion Project, to taking part in Kelliher School’s Agricultural Day and emceeing the announcement of Highway 10 passing lanes moving forward between Fort Qu’ Appelle and Melville, you have included me in countless high school graduations, perogies and sausage or BBQ fundraisers. These shared experiences have filled this past year with great memories and success stories for the constituency. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and included me in your celebrations and successes. It’s these shared experiences that make our community strong and vibrant.
It is the honour of a lifetime to serve the people of Last Mountain - Touchwood as your Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. Together, we are committed to making Saskatchewan the best province to call home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me since I was re-elected as the MLA for Last Mountain - Touchwood and became the Minister of Environment.
Your thoughts and concerns are always welcome. Please feel free to stop by the constituency office for a coffee and chat with my Constituency Assistant, Tina Knowles, and myself. I value our interactions and look forward to many more in the future.
From my family to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
