Since October 2023, Saskatoon-based Fransaskoise visual artist Monique Martin has been offering an immersive travelling exhibition entitled “Breathturn”

On August 3, the artist presented her 21st performance of the exhibition, composed of approximately 3,000 paper dandelions and 4,000 screen-printed butterflies in front of an audience, at the Last Mountain Lake Cultural Centre in Regina Beach.
The exhibition has already travelled to several provinces and the paper dandelions, designed several years ago, have travelled to several countries. To mark Jane Goodall's 85th birthday, the Fransaskoise artist presented a work composed of 85 paper dandelions at a celebration for the primatologist and anthropologist. ''Everything is handmade and each piece is unique,'' explained the enthusiast, ''I find it meditative.''
