Obituary - Marg Ginther (nee Lundell)
1941 - 2024
October 17, 2024
Marg Ginther (nee Lundell) passed peacefully into her Lord's presence on October 10th, 2024 surrounded by her husband, John, and two sons, Todd and Trevor.
Marg was born in rural Saskatchewan on the family farm near Strasbourg on May 18, 1941. Upon completing high school, she made the decision to pursue nursing at the Misericordia in Winnipeg that fall. Once in Winnipeg, she agreed to a blind date with her future husband, John, and swore that he was "too tall!". She obviously got over that initial impression. Marg and John were engaged in 1968 and married in 1969 in Strasbourg. Their life together began in Hinton, Alberta. From Hinton, they moved to Fort Saskatchewan and there started a family with the arrival of Todd and then Trevor. They then moved to Jasper for a season of life and adventure and then returned to the Fort where they remained.
Marg was a prayer warrior who faithfully lifted up family and friends. Her love, wisdom, and presence are missed.
Marg is lovingly remembered by her husband John, sons Todd and Trevor (Vinessa), grandchildren Emily, Ezra, Levi, Noah, and Mariah, sisters Doreen, Jen, and Dawn, brother Art, and relatives and friends.
The family is grateful to the staff of Rivercrest Care Centre for the care provided to Marg.
A celebration of Marg's life will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at 2 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church (9921 - 101 Street, Fort Saskatchewan).
The family requests no flowers, please.
