Obituary - PROSEILO: Irene Mae

Irene Mae Proseilo, aged 84 years, passed away at her residence in Nokomis, SK, on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.

Irene was born on September 13, 1940, to Lars and MInnie Bleie. She had two brothers, John and William. She went to school in the Logan Country School, Viscount, High School in Caronport, Briercrest Bible College, and Saskatoon Teacher College at the U of S. She was a teacher from 1964 - 1975 in Leroy, Liberty and Nokomis and then a Librarian from 1975 on in Nokomis.

Irene was part of the Nokomis Ag Society, Farmer's Market, Nokomis Museum Board and Ambulance Board. She attended church at Bethania Lutheran in Viscount, North Star Mennonite in Drake, Baptist in Nokomis and Nokomis Anglican.

Irene is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rueben and their son, Nathan.   

The Funeral service will take place at Nokomis Anglican Church 3rd Ave. E. Nokomis, SK on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Nokomis Cemetery. Lunch at the Legion Hall in Nokomis.
