I recently read an article where Tom Selleck expressed frustration over the cancellation of the long-running TV series Blue Bloods, in which he portrays the patriarchal head of a New York police family. Despite the show's strong ratings and the cast and crew's enthusiasm to continue, CBS executives decided to cancel it. When questioned about this decision, CBS executives cited vague reasons, claiming the series was no longer relevant to a modern audience, even though it was still profitable.
