Public Notice - Village of Bethune
Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Village of Bethune intends to adopt Bylaw No. 05-2024 under The Planning and Development Act, 2007, to amend Bylaw 2/90, known as the Zoning Bylaw.
The following changes to the Zoning Bylaw are proposed:
- Textual Amendments intended to provide for secondary suites and their regulations in the R-Residential Zoning District.
INTENT
The proposed Zoning Bylaw amendment will:
- define day secondary suites;
- provide standards for secondary suites; and
- provide for secondary suites as a permitted use in the R-Residential Zoning District.
PUBLIC INSPECTION
Any person may inspect Bylaw No. 05-2024 at the office of the Village of Bethune office located at 101 Railway Avenue in Bethune during regular office hours. Copies of the bylaw will be made available.
PUBLIC HEARING
The Council will hold a public hearing at the municipal office for the Zoning Bylaw amendment on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 7:30 pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed Bylaw. The Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing.
