Break, Enter and Theft from clean up site on Highway 16
Between March 7th, 2020 and March 8th, 2020 there was a theft from a mobile office at a clean up site a few kilometres west of Guernsey on Hwy 16. Suspect(s) forced entry into a mobile office trailer on site and stole a laser Level, gas air monitor and a Laptop computer. In total over $5000.00 of equipment was stolen during this break, enter and theft.

North Battleford RCMP charge adult male for second degree murder
On March 8, 2020, police officers from the North Battleford RCMP received a request to check on the well-being of a 22-year-old female. Police attended a residence on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford and located the female deceased.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit North, RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Saskatchewan Coroners Service and the RCMP National Forensic Identification Support Services from Edmonton are assisting with the investigation.
An autopsy was completed on March 9, 2020, in Saskatoon.
Keenan Mirasty (DOB: 1998-12-16), of North Battleford, has been charged with Second Degree Murder, contrary to Sec. 235(1) of the Criminal Code in relation to the death of Sequin Mooswa.
Mirasty made his first court appearance in Provincial Court in North Battleford on March 10, 2020.
RCMP respond to two separate snowmobile collisions in Prince Albert and Wollaston Lake, SK
On March 6, 2020, at 9:24 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received the report of a fatal snowmobile collision approximately 5 km north of Emma Lake, SK, which claimed the life of a 48-year-old male. It was reported that the driver was snowmobiling with friends in the afternoon before becoming separated from the group. A group of friends began a search and located the driver deceased just off the trail hours later. EMS and Lakeland Fire Department also attended the scene. An autopsy has been ordered and scheduled to take place in the coming days.
On March 7, 2020, between the hours of 2 and 3 p.m., Wollaston Lake RCMP received the report of a single snowmobile collision in Wollaston Lake, SK. A 20-year-old male, the lone driver of the snowmobile, was taken to hospital in Saskatoon by air ambulance with what were reported to be serious, life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing for both incidents. The names of both drivers will not be released by RCMP at this time.
