RLT One-Act Playwriting Contest

All Saskatchewan playwrights, amateur or professional, are welcome to submit a brand new, never produced, one-act comedy play that is between 15 and 30 minutes in length, which has a minimal set, not more than five characters and is suitable for all ages.

The contest opens immediately and concludes on November 1, 2025. The winning entry will be announced on December 1, 2025, and will be awarded a $500 prize. The winning entry will be workshopped and then produced by Regina Little Theatre for our Centennial gala event being held on May 9, 2026, at the Regina Performing Arts Center.

Contest Coordinator, Patrick Pelletier writes: "As an entirely volunteer driven organization since its inception in May of 1926, we are extremely proud of our accomplishments. We take this opportunity to celebrate our achievements with all of Regina and Saskatchewan. Watch for further information about our big celebrations happening in April and May of 2026."
