
RM of Dufferin No. 190 - Zoning Bylaw Amendment
Public Notice
Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the RM of Dufferin No. 190 intends to pass a bylaw, under the Planning and Development Act 2007, to amend Bylaw 9-2022, known as the Zoning Bylaw.
The following changes to the Zoning Bylaw are proposed:
- 3.44 Intensive Livestock Operations (ILO)
3.44 (d) Approval of an ILO shall be for a specific maximum number of animal units specified by Council as a condition of the development permit. A new discretionary approval shall be required to expand the ILO, or to subsequently alter the species of animals in the operation. No more than 50,000 animal units shall be allowed per ILO.
INTENT:
The purpose of the amendment is to accommodate a proposed ILO Expansion.
PUBLIC INSPECTION:
Copies of the proposed bylaw will be available for inspection by any person in the R.M. of Dufferin No. 190 Office in Bethune, Saskatchewan between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays.
PUBLIC HEARING
Council will hold a public hearing on May 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the RM of Dufferin Council Chambers to hear any person or group that wished to comment on the proposed development. Council will also consider written comments received by May 2, 2025, via email to development@dufferin190.ca, by regular mail to the RM of Dufferin Office at PO Box 67, Bethune SK S0G 0H0 or you may personally drop off your response letter to the RM Office.
