
Sask RCMP seizes nearly two kilograms of illicit drugs and 35,000 illegal cigarettes near Humboldt

On February 4, 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP executed a search warrant near Humboldt, resulting in a significant drug bust. Officers seized 1,000 grams of methamphetamine, 801 grams of cocaine, 35,000 illegal cigarettes, four firearms, ammunition, bear spray, and drug trafficking paraphernalia from a residence. During a related traffic stop, authorities confiscated approximately $42,245 in cash and additional evidence of drug trafficking.

Gaetan Carrier, a 59-year-old Humboldt resident, was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000. An adult female was also arrested but released without charges. Carrier is scheduled to appear in Humboldt Provincial Court on March 24, 2025. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges are anticipated.
