SaskTel announced it recently expanded its 5G network to Nokomis, North Grove - Buffalo Pound, La Ronge, Red Earth Cree Nation, and 50 other cell sites serving rural and Indigenous communities and several highway corridors. This latest expansion is part of SaskTel's ongoing initiative to deliver next- generation and hyper-fast wireless connectivity to Saskatchewan residents and businesses.

"The expansion of SaskTel's 5G network is paving the way for further growth in Saskatchewan, allowing families, businesses and communities to connect faster and more reliably than ever before," said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. "The speed and power of SaskTel's 5G network will create additional opportunities in sectors like healthcare, education and agriculture, keeping Saskatchewan communities strong and vibrant."

The continued expansion of its 5G and fibre networks is a direct result of SaskTel's commitment to invest nearly $440 million of capital throughout Saskatchewan in 2024/25 and more than $2 billion over the next five years.
