Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Festival has decided to host a virtual Festival with 21 events that will be free for everyone! The Festival will have a variety of well-respected and diverse Canadian authors participating in panels, readings, and workshops led on an online forum. Participants from across Canada can attend online interviews, author readings, a variety of writing workshops, a panel about SLAM poetry, and a live-streamed concert from the Andino Suns without leaving the comfort of their homes.
The Festival hosts some of the nation’s top writers of fiction, non-fiction, thriller, romance, drama, poetry and more. Some of the authors who will be presenting at this year’s Festival are: Jay Ingram, the co-host of Daily Planet for 20 years and author of over 25 books, Joshua Whitehead, winner of the 2019 Lambda Literary Award for Gay Fiction, Bruce Rice, the current Saskatchewan Poet Laurate, and more. The event is perfect for avid readers, aspiring writers, and everyone who appreciate the rich artistry of Canadian literary culture.
The dates of this year’s festival are July 13-19. Although all of our events are free, we do require registration for each event. Registration will be open on the Festival website after June 15.
