I have just discovered, courtesy of the disgraced legacy christian college, that the entire planet is only four thousand years old, that we co-existed with dinosaurs (much like Fred and Barney, I assume) and that the existence of the loch ness monster is living proof of this theory and not a tourist attraction that makes the residents of loch ness millions each year.
Wow, I must have missed all this on the six o’clock news. I guess I must get more current with my information services - depending far too much on legacy media! Mind you, I would not mind some brontosaurus ribs like Fred Flintstone used to winch onto his barbecue. I am sure they would be delicious. I pity the efforts of a butcher in his endeavours to put meat on the table. One could safely assume that attempting to dismember a 20-ton T-rex could be somewhat hazardous!
Times are tough for many Canadians. After nearly three years of covid mandates, we now must deal with runaway inflation and supply chain issues that send the price of food and commodities into the stratosphere. Many people are struggling to get by. How enlightening it is to see our federal government pitching in to do its part by sacrificing personal excesses. Just last week, I heard deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland state unequivocally that she and her family were cancelling Disney+ at the end of the month with a whopping saving of 13.99 a month to their budget and the 1.4 trillion dollar national deficit.
Now I am unsure whether the Freeland family can survive such a sacrifice. Some professional counselling may be required in the near future, but they can rest assured they are doing their part. I am sure this is a tremendous reassurance to a single mom with two kids, working two jobs, who can no longer afford gas to drive to one of them, and at the end of the month, has to decide whether to pay the rent or buy some dog food for her to eat so the kids can have fruit loops!
Now in all fairness to Chrystia Freeland, I am sure she regrets making that remark. Still, it certainly highlights the complete and utter disconnect this government displays between them and ordinary working-class Canadians. People just like you and me!
