No one should be subject to verbal abuse such as that, no matter how much you disagree with your government’s policies. This is not the only abuse of a high-profile white female in this country.
Do you remember Tamara Lich? One of the organizers of the freedom protest movement? The psychotic, murderous arsonists who terrorized the residents of downtown Ottawa with their horn-honking, dino-bouncing, hot-tubbing protest. She was arrested when the emergency measures act was implemented, and 9 million dollars worth of police finally cleared the streets of protesters, and the residents of Ottawa could sip their lattes in peace. She has spent a total of 48 days in jail, which, as her lawyer has publicly stated, is possibly more days in custody than her charges would permit if she were convicted. On her first bail hearing, she was brought into court in chains and leg irons even though her offences are non-violent.
She was refused bail not once but twice and still bears the weight of a personally assigned vindictive federal prosecutor named Moiz Karimjee whose sole purpose in life is to micromanage her bail conditions to the nanosecond.
This woman is non-violent, a grandmother, and has never been in trouble with the law. She does, however, possess the temerity to live in medicine hat Alberta. Perfectly acceptable to apply crass and tasteless treatment to her, as long as it is the federal government that applies it.
Going to go out on a limb here a bit and attempt in vague terms to describe the idiot who verbally assaulted the deputy prime minister.
He may or may not live in Alberta, may or may not be an anti-vaxxer, may or may not have lost his good-paying job in the oil patch, and when his extended EI benefits ran out, he lost his house, and his wife and kids spent a very slim Christmas living in his brother’s basement.
Who may or may not have participated in the freedom movement protest in Ottawa, and might even be one of the guys lounging in the hot tub in front of the prime minister’s office.
The point being here, Chrystia Freeland, even though she was born and raised in Alberta, now is neck deep in a federal government whose policies are universally despised in western Canada.
She follows with almost religious fervour a man whose father expressed his disdain for western Canada with his ‘Salmon Arm salute.’ A gesture that very much mirrored the insults cast at her.
Chrystia Freeland should realize if she had any common sense, her return to her roots is now a hostile territory, and her security measures should reflect that. If she thinks for one second that someone will never exploit an opportunity to tell her off displays a naivety that borders on astounding.
Mind you, common sense is seldom a liberal attribute exploited to its potential!
