“I am honoured to continue serving as Chair and would like to welcome our three new Board members to the Prairie Valley Board of Education. There have been many challenges our Board has faced in the last year, and that we will continue to face as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. I am proud of the dedication to learning we see from our students, staff, trustees and senior leaders and we are grateful for the support of our communities,” said Kotylak.
We are working hard to continue delivering the best possible education and to serving the unique needs of each of our schools while ensuring Prairie Valley is a great place to learn and work.”
From Montmartre, Kotylak has served in the education sector since her election to Montmartre’s local school board in in 1997. She is in her ninth consecutive term as Chair and her sixteenth year as a Board member. She also serves as the Saskatchewan School Boards Association (SSBA) Executive Member representing the Southern Constituency.
Kotylak and her husband operate a livestock and grain farm.
Bradley was an educator for more than 25 years before retiring as principal of Milestone School. She has served on the Board since 2015 and is also a member of the newly developed Professional Development Committee.
Judy served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 1991 to 1999 and was Caucus Chairperson, Minister of Highways and Transportation and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women.
“Our Board is focused on doing great things for students and I am looking forward to partnering with my fellow trustees and Division leaders to navigate the many challenges and opportunities we will face as a Division over the next year,” said Bradley. “I am proud to serve as Vice-Chair for the Prairie Valley Board of Education. I appreciate the opportunity to continue sharing my passion for high quality education and serving the communities we represent as elected officials.”
The annual organizational meeting also assigns Board members to committees and confirms the dates for regular public Board meetings.
