FULLER, CATHERINE (nee Wagner)
1923 -2020
It is with loving thoughts and lasting memories that we announce the peaceful passing on April 22, 2020 of our Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma, Catherine in her 96th year.
She was born in the Fairy Hill district (Earl Grey area) to Christian and Katharina Wagner on September 24th, 1923. She grew up on a family farm in the days of few conveniences. She married Bob Fuller in 1943. They were successful in their family farm venture near Bulyea, Saskatchewan and later retired to Strasbourg, Saskatchewan.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Bob in 2005 after 61 years of marriage. She is the cherished Mom of Jeanette (Gordon), Stoney Creek, Ontario , Marvin ( Margret), Regina, Saskatchewan and Keith (Colleen), Duncan, B.C. She was the proud grandma of Richard, Marshall, Brian, Dan, Leah, David, Amy, Frankie, Jesse, Dixie and Cody and a loving great grandma to their children.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Carrie, Frieda, Olga, Matilda, Molly, Annie, Clayton, John, and Martin and is survived by her brother Lawrence (Erma), Okotoks, Alberta. Fondly remembered as Aunty Catherine by many nieces and nephews.
Her life was blessed by many wonderful friends. She and Bob hosted numerous family and friends gatherings around their dining room tables. A warm welcome awaited any who came to visit. Coffee times uptown in retirement were special social events. Challenges in life were met with a shared faith in their Saviour. There was always time for church life and the church community. She had a keen sense of humour with ‘Wagner quips’ marking her conversations. As a’ team player’ her contributions were behind the scenes at many events.
We as a family say a heart-felt thankyou to Last Mountain Pioneer Home for all their care and compassion for Mom for almost 5 years. She was among friends.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside memorial service at a later date.
