At least we didn’t have to make any decisions related to the COVID-19 virus that was just starting to make headlines. Eight teams of two enjoyed playing the short, four-end games in the final FunSpiel which requires more accuracy when there is little to no sweeping. The chance of winning a cool, crisp $10 bill after every game also made it very worthwhile! Although the Late Night Spiel may sound like it’s an all-nighter, it really doesn’t go as late as it sounds, and we could have been home by midnight!

During the evenings of March 9-12, the six teams pictured below curled in the End of Season Spiel. I hear Breanna made a great floater subbing on a different team every night! To make it extra fun, the pick-a-prize order was determined by drawing a card this year.
Everyone was very appreciative of the many wonderful prizes donated by local and surrounding area businesses. The winner of the raffle draw wine cooler was Arnold Ginther, and Ray Craswell won the birdhouse. Plenty of visiting, with food and drink, finished off this event. The Strasbourg Curling Club was fortunate to have had another successful year!
