
SK’s RCMP police service dog locates 1 kg of booger sugar
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit were making proactive patrols and conducted a traffic stop on Highway #1, west of Regina.
On March 18, 2025 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit were making proactive patrols and conducted a traffic stop on Highway #1, west of Regina. They stopped an SUV and during subsequent investigation with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP police service dog, officers located and seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine inside the vehicle.
41-year-old adult male Jalil Wahab, travelling from Alberta to Manitoba, was arrested at the scene and is charged with:
- one count, trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Jalil Wahab is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on May 29, 2025 (Information #90547720).
Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch and Regina Police Service assisted in this investigation.
