Public Notice

Public Notice

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Lumsden intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 15-2002, known as the Zoning Bylaw.

REASON

Bylaw No. 2024-13 proposes to repeal Bylaw No. 2023-07, which was adopted by Council on July 6, 2023, and rezoned Phase 1 A of The Country Subdivision to the R2 – Residential Multiple District and Phase 1B to the R2-H – Residential Multiple District with H – Holding Designation. The bylaw is being repealed to address a typographic error in the legal land description and remove the H – Holding Designation from the Phase 1B lands.

INTENT

The proposed bylaw intends to rezone all of Phase 1A and 1B to the R2 – Residential Multiple District to accommodate future residential development as shown outlined in blue on the below map. There are no substantial changes being proposed other than removing the H – Holding Designation from Phase 1B.
