Town of Southey - Bylaw Amendment

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Southey intends to amend Bylaw No. 01-2019 Known As The Zoning Bylaw.

INTENT

The proposed Bylaw No. 2025-01 will amend the current Bylaw No. 01-2019 Zoning Bylaw by adding Multi-Family housing to R1 Residential as Discretionary Use.

REASON

The current Zoning Bylaw has Multi-Family in R2 only.  The town currently has Multi-Family Units in R1.

PUBLIC BYLAW INSPECTION

Any person may inspect Bylaw 2025-01 at the Town Office, 260 Keats Street from Tuesday, February 18, 2025 – February 21, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING

Council will hold a public hearing on February 25, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office, 260 Keats Street to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw.  Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the Town Office before the hearing.
